Have you ever wondered where all those shapes on the paintings by Miró, Kandinsky, or Malevich come from, which at first glance look like a random collection of spots? These spots are a composition of emotions and expression on the topics the artists faced, showing that a visual statement doesn’t have to be in figurative forms. The statement can focus on color, shape, and texture, completely abandoning the idea of classical painting.
