Japanese calligraphy, SHODŌ, has been cultivated in Japan for centuries. It is still practiced and applied in many aspects of daily life and taught in schools. Those who practice calligraphy see it as a way to find inner peace, focus, and slow down amidst the hustle and bustle of daily life. As one of the traditional Japanese arts, calligraphy also allows people to experience the Japanese philosophy of the “Way” called DŌ.
We offer workshops led by Julia Caba from the Warsaw School of Japanese Language. These workshops invite you to relax, meditate, or express yourself artistically using a Japanese brush and ink.
Due to working with black ink, we recommend wearing dark, preferably black clothing.
